In the past, this page was about a Ground Lightening Protection Association. I have chose to keep this website going, by adding some interesting information about such topic that was posted here previously.. But much nicer-looking, I must say.
Lightning Protection and Earthing in our country unfortunately did not see the degree of attention it deserves. As our country’s young engineers are aware of the current deficiencies in this regard, which we believe it should be moved to a professional platform of this issue.
August 8, 2015 update. Testing today showed complete de-indexing of homepage and the 3 horribly small posts. This site will need a lot of work to bring it back to life. I shall start by noindexing the posts.
– September 12, 2015 update.
A month past, everything including this homepage is still not findable. I have a sad feeling that this nicely cool sounding domain name is going to be burned, as if struck by lightning, pooed on by an eagle, and laid upon by a moose. This in no way reminds of me of anything from my real life, I’m just trying something totally unique on this homepage, in hopes that the tooth fairy spider will bestow onto this page, the forgiveness for whatever shady past the site used to have, before I owned it.
OK, story time. When feeling a little hungry, and finding nothing much in the refrigerator or cuppboards, it’s always just too much effort to go into a car and go shopping for real food. But trying to find online foods, is something I have never done. I hear it’s coming in the future. Maybe even delivery by drones.
I think to myself, if people saw a drone flying toward a house, carrying some groceries, they might be inclined to try to grab the drone and steal the food, before it reaches the property of the buyer.
Below you will seek some material regarding the Yilkoder Association, the employees, and what we are trying to accomplish by building a strong infrastructure, and so on..
I’ve done a lot of flying in the past few months, both commercially to Asia and Europe, and in my own private plane, over BC and Alberta. I’ve noticed power equipment all over the place, and have taken quite a few photos of it all. From Hydroelectric dams, to big transformer installations, to massive high voltage power lines, to windmills / wind turbines. In the coming days, I hope to sort through my thousands of photos and post them. Also I’ve checked again, Oct 5, 2015, and this page is still completely un-indexed, and I’m losing hope.
On my return flight from Berlin this past weekend, there was fog in Amsterdam, which is a major European hub. All flights were cancelled, and so there was a gigantic problem of re-routing people. We ended up flying from Berlin to Bijellund in Denmark, missing a connection, and then waiting till evening and flying to Copenhagen. Staying overnight at a Hilton airport hotel, we then flew the next day to Iceland, then home to Edmonton. It was a lovely alternate route, and during that flight, I had more opportunities to see power and forestry in other countries, and took lots of aviation pictures too.
